The cockpit module is mounted on the steering member at the base behind the panel integrating the instrument panel, air conditioning unit, instrument cluster, air bag module, electronic control unit, audio system, wiring harness, steering column, etc. We devote its unique outstanding technologies to development of the attractive module products for the next generation, giving priority to systemization, integration, lighter weight, cost reduction, high-performance and recycling efficiency.

Calsonic Kansei instruments provide the driver with instant, accurate information about the vehicles, speed, engine revolutions, water temperature and fuel level. Calsonic Kansei develops and produces the entire system, from the sensors that detect the status of the vehicle to the instruments that convey the information to the driver. With the approach of ITS, automobile instruments are being coupled with data communications and safety display functions. Consequently, the instrument panel is evolving into a more advanced information display system, and is becoming the interface between the driver and the machine. To provide the driver with an optimal display, Calsonic Kansei is developing new types of display systems, using its own special approach based on ergonomics and the application of advanced technology. |
The air conditioning unit sets the internal temperature and air outlet to the users' preference under any climate changes and creates a comfortable environment throughout the year. It also demists the windows for safe driving. Calsonic Kansei provides a range of air conditioning units for different cars, ranging from passenger vehicles such as compact and luxury vehicles to large truncks and RV's. We provide a wide range of highly functional products, including independent air conditioning for each seat and automatic air conditioners. |

We are producing instrument panels and consoles with excellent design characteristics with various kinds of manufacturing method. We are providing products which have excellent texture, operability, convenience and define vehicle's character by the advanced manufacturing and design technology, and by the integrated system from design to development/manufacturing. In addition, we have reduced weight of instrument panel by using resin for it and we are producing environmental-conscious products for which resin's characteristics is utilized like easier recycling by changing to the single material. |
